Laxmi's Diwali Dream Team
Each Hindu God and Goddess has a vahana, an animal that serves as a vehicle. So how exactly did Laxmi Devi select hers, Uluka, the owl? Well, since we can't say with certainty, we turned to our imagination.
Laxmi's Diwali Dream Team is the story of recognizing one's worth and their hidden talents, and shining light on those who might be too scared to speak up for themselves. A great reminder not only during Diwali, but year around.
Conceptualized, written and illustrated by three South Asian women -- all spanning from different countries -- there is no better way to diversify your bookshelf than by inspiring your little global citizen with this story.
Each page is illustrated in vibrant colors and rhymes, making it a fun read for both parents and kids alike. Pair the book with the matching plush Laxmi Devi for interactive storytelling time!

Quality could have been a little better
I love all the stories to this collection of books, but unfortunately the quality of the book is not the same as the previous three. I know this was to be expected and was reflected in the price, but after paying for shipping, the book was still not cheap enough for the quality. The book arrived already warped and the images a bit faded. I give it 4 stars because I still love the story, but not sure if I would give this as a gift or recommend it to someone to be their first modi toy item. I am afraid if I did that they would not want to buy any of the other items which are of better quality.
My daughter is obsessed with the story of Lakshmi MA and finding her owl vahana. But as was mentioned before we bought it, the physical quality of the book is very poor. I hope it will last for my daughter as she sometimes tends to be a but rough with her books...mind you, she's 2.5. But otherwise, everything else - the story, the illustrations, the colours, etc. - are.great!!
I loved the book! The story and the images were super cute and my son loves them!
The only downside is the paper quality - the layers of pages were separating from the time I received it… and my 12mo old managed to split all of the pages open entirely within a few days.
Hi Ridhima, so glad to hear you and your son love the book! Unfortunately, we are aware of this issue and here's how we recently addressed it: https://www.moditoys.com/blogs/south-asian-brands/an-explanation-about-our-devi-books-on-sale
The quality of the book is not what it used to be. It feels cheaper and not high quality colors as the first books such as the hanuman and Ganesh one
Hi Priyanka, you're right. Here's an announcement we recently made to address the issue we identified: https://www.moditoys.com/blogs/south-asian-brands/an-explanation-about-our-devi-books-on-sale
